ORGANIC TIMES - Carob Powder

Our quality organic carob powder is from trees that are a minimum of 50 years old. A carob tree starts to bear fruits only at an age of 10 years. At the age of 30 years the tree is in a "full bloom"

The powder is made from the sheet ropes. After the harvest they are dried, chopped, gently toasted at a temperature of 60 about degrees and pulverized.

Our organic carob powder tastes naturally sweet with an aromatic caramel flavour. May be used in baking or mixed with milk as a cocoa substitute.

A source of calcium & potassium, contains vitamins, can alkaline the body and is low-in-fat, gluten-free and caffeine-free.
